to register trademarks applied for in the country and to provide for better
protection of trade mark for goods and services and also to prevent fraudulent

Registering a Trademark is a

Name and address and nationality
of the proprietor; party type i.e the proprietorship, partnership, Individual,
HUF, body Incorporation; Trademark to be applied for i.e, word mark, device mark,
Label, Composite Mark etc., Language of the mark; Class of goods and services
in respect of which the trademark to be filed., Specification of goods or
services in respect of which the trademark is to be filed. User Detail of
trademark i.e, proposed to be used or used since date; State of jurisdiction of the trade mark /
Appropriate office; Address of
Service Details; Condition or Disclaimer
with the mark (If any); Associated Trademark (if any); In Case the application
is a priority/ conventional application then priority details of trade marks.
Trademark is a Two-Three days
process and your trade will be registered the same day after that further
procedure is started by the government department. It is a long process and it takes around 18-24
months to obtain registration in case no opposition is field by third party.
Duration of Registration
If the Trademark is registered;
it is valid for a period of 10 years from the date of Application. The registration can be renewed
for the further period of ten years before the date expiration.
